The short version: Holy Instant has no account, ads, or tracking. Your journal lives on Your device and in Your private iCloud. Grace and voice features use the named services below, with their data practices stated plainly.
Two promises hold this whole app up. Private, always: using Holy Instant does not violate Your privacy. Open to everyone: every screen is built to be reached however You read, hear, and see. They are one commitment — Your dignity — and they are never traded away. This page is the first promise; its companion is Accessibility.
What is collected
Holy Instant itself has no advertising, no tracking, and no behavioral analytics. The AWS software bundled for voice and service requests declares unlinked Other Diagnostic Data for app functionality in its privacy manifest. It is not declared for advertising or tracking, and it is not linked to a Holy Instant profile because there is no profile.
No account, no sign-in
The app asks for no name, no email, and no password, and it has no login of any kind. You are never identified to it, and it never asks You to be.
Grace
When You write to Grace, Your message, the recent conversation needed for continuity, the passages of the Course needed to answer, and any practice notes You explicitly enabled are sent through Holy Instant’s AWS service to Anthropic. Holy Instant creates no account for this and does not use the words for advertising. Anthropic says standard API inputs and outputs are automatically deleted within 30 days unless an exception applies. Grace speaks only from the Course.
You can also speak to Grace or into Your journal. Your audio streams to Amazon Transcribe and returns to Holy Instant as text. Holy Instant does not keep a copy of the recording. If You send that text to Grace, it follows the AWS and Anthropic path above. The app tells You this plainly the first time You reach for the microphone.
Your highlights and reflections
What You highlight and what You write go to Your own private iCloud database, operated by Apple under Your Apple ID. That is how they come back if You ever lose the phone or get a new one. Holy Instant has no journal server or developer dashboard that reads this content.
If You turn iCloud off for Holy Instant, they simply stay on the device in Your hand and go nowhere at all.
No trackers, no third parties, no ads
Holy Instant contains no advertising networks, behavioral analytics services, or third-party trackers. AWS and Anthropic are service providers for the voice and Grace features You choose to use, and their path is disclosed above.
Everyone is welcome
The app is rated for all ages. It creates no account or advertising profile for anyone, including children. Voice and Grace still use the disclosed service path when those features are chosen.
Changes, and reaching a person
